My name is Laney, I’m a fully certified florist based in the Adelaide Hills and the lead floral designer behind Flowers for the Moon. I’ve been immersed in the world of floristry since I was seventeen, I gave up getting an ATAR in my last year of high school so I could instead pursue floristry professionally, and never looked back.
I’ve always been drawn to the weird and wonderful, and my floral design aspirations are no different! I love to create arrangements that are like no other, so if you’re looking for the perfect florist to pull off a funky flower combo or a bold colour palette, I’m your girl.
I’ve worked with some incredibly talented and fabulous florists, I especially loved traveling to wedding setups all over the hills with Bethany from Floral Eden and creating alongside Svetlana from Fleur and Brew. Since the beginning of my career, I’ve always felt that I would be happiest in my work if I stepped out from working under other people’s designs and started to build my own brand with the freedom to design independently. I especially love creating with bright tropicals, whimsical garden flowers and anything that looks a bit weird and spooky – so if any of that sounds up your alley then you’re in the right place!
